Welcome to Virgil I. Grissom Elementary School! It is my honor to serve as the Principal of Virgil I. Grissom Elementary School, Where Character Counts! Being a National School of Character, we here at Grissom focus on the climate of our school community in order to nurture the whole child. All of the students, staff, along with myself are looking forward towards working on the lofty goals and expectations set by the vibrant Grissom Community that permeates the neighborhood, halls, and classrooms within the building.

While continuing with our firm adherence to district curricula, the staff at Virgil I. Grissom Elementary School will continue to assist in helping each student mature and become a positive member of both the community as a whole, as well as the Grissom community itself. Through classroom lessons and a school environment that enhances character traits and educates students on the effects of harassment, intimidation, and bullying, students will learn respect, responsibility, honesty, self-efficacy, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, citizenship, and the importance of an education.

Virgil I. Grissom Elementary School works diligently in creating a positive school culture and environment, thus being the bedrock to increasing self-confidence and motivation, and resulting in increased academic scores.

I look forward to continuing a positive partnership with parents and the Old Bridge community. Together we can meet the needs of all the students and provide an exceptional foundation for educational success.
